2020 was certainly a year to forget. But we need to make sure that we don’t forget the good that came out of 2020 and the pandemic.

The Y had to pivot from our normal day to day operations when we closed from March 20-May 18. We developed a new normal as we remained dedicated to our members and local families by providing childcare for essential families and on-demand fitness classes to the community via Facebook Live. We had to operate with less staff but still maintain a high level of service.

We are excited to see things slowly returning to normal but the Y needs your support now more than ever. Help us continue to provide the much needed programs for our neighbors. We cannot do it without you.

2021 Briggs Friend of Youth Annual Campaign

  • The Y is Accessible to All - Contributions received from the Friend of Youth Annual Campaign fund the growing number of scholarships awarded to individuals and families in need of vital Y programs and services. Each year, we count on your generosity to enable us to give back and support neighbors right in our communities.
  • The Y is Continually Serving Our Community - In 2020, we gave $266,371 in scholarships. Your generous donations provided programs that promote healthy spirit, mind and body to 13,852 families, adults, kids and seniors experiencing financial hardship.
  • Our Commitment - No one is turned away for inability to pay. That's why 100% of donation dollars go directly to helping those in need.

When you give...

The YMCA of the Golden Crescent never stopped supporting our community during the COVID-19 shutdown.
